Chapters 1-11: The Book of Enoch

  • Resumen

  • In Chapters 1-11 of The Book of Enoch, the narrative begins with Enoch receiving a vision of the coming judgment from God. The chapters describe the fall of the angels, who descended to earth, took human wives, and fathered the Nephilim—giant beings who brought violence and corruption to the world. The angels also introduced forbidden knowledge to humanity, leading to further moral decay. These chapters highlight the consequences of the angels' actions, as God decrees severe punishment for both the angels and their offspring. Enoch is chosen as the intermediary to deliver these messages of doom to the fallen angels and to comfort the righteous with the promise of divine justice. The chapters also depict the ultimate purification of the earth, where the wicked will be destroyed, and the earth will be renewed for the righteous. The narrative underscores the themes of divine justice, the importance of righteousness, and the inevitability of God's judgment. Enoch's role as a prophet and scribe is established, and the foundation is laid for the rest of the book, where more detailed prophecies and visions will be revealed. These opening chapters set the tone for the entire text, emphasizing the struggle between good and evil, the consequences of sin, and the hope for a future where righteousness prevails under God's rule. Whole book of Enoch

There is a lot of info in this book that I believe adds to Gods Word but cannot say it is Gods Word. There has been a copy of Enoch that was found in the Dead Sea scrolls that hasn’t changed since it was written except for a few words in difference. Meaning this was a circulated book in first to third century according to internet. There is so much info in here that it makes you wonder why it isn’t the inspired word of God as it backs up much of prophecy. I’ve read on internet that there are errors in the book of Enoch and that since it was written only up to a few centuries before Christ it wasn’t included in the Holy Bible. Also because the prophets, again research from internet says 12 disciples didn’t use Enoch as scripture when founded the Church. Though Enoch scripture is used in Jude, and also there is a reference from Enoch I’ve seen in the book of Revelation, and some parts in Genesis. Makes me wonder and now will study deeper into what errors there are and why or if any reason Catholic and Protestant churches don’t count Enoch as scripture but Eastern Orthodox Church do. Eastern Orthodox Church believes Enoch is Word of God, so why don’t Catholic or Protestants? I’m a believer in Christ, a believer in The Word of God is His Word, but also believe there wouldn’t be a warning in Revelations not to remove any words from that book or that person would be cursed if they did weather it means the whole Bible or just Revelations I’m not sure, but thinking since there is a warning it’s possible man trying to use their wisdom putting all the books together to form the Bible may of left out things that should’ve been put in, like Constantine was in authority to make such decisions when he purchased the Roman Catholic Church. So here’s to more upcoming research! Thank you to the reader, did a good job, could’ve used a bit more charisma though.
