Smallholder farmers produce so many of the products we know and love. From coffee to cocoa to cotton, their work is hard to escape.
Yet despite their crucial role, tech products that solve the problems that smallholder farmers face every day are few and far between.
Climate Edge is trying to change that. Based in the UK and operating in Kenya, Climate Edge is helping agribusinesses gather data from, build relationships with and share information with the smallholder farmers that are so central to the products they produce.
Climate Edge does this via a CRM or Customer Relationship Manager. People will be familiar with SaaS giants like Salesforce and Hubspot that provide CRM products for businesses around the world. Climate Edge works to widen access to the benefits that such a product provides.
In this episode, I talk to Paul about his entrepreneurial journey, how he came to build the product, his vision for the future and even his tips for visiting Kenya.
