Acerca de esta escucha

Each week, Bob Mendelsohn will take us on a journey, 18 minutes of time together, learning and laughing and feeling what's going on in the world around us. It's really a podcast about people and for people. Topics might include sports, books, religion, and words themselves-- people though are our #1 concern. Broadcast each TUESDAY from his home in Sydney, Australia. Photos of the guests are here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bobmendo/albums/72177720296857670. You are invited to share your thoughts via Instagram or FB, even via audio if you'd like.
Often we get into topics about health and wellness, and we find those fascinating.

  • Day 8 of 8. Holy Week. What an ending!
    Apr 20 2025

Jewish feast of First Fruits found in the 23rd chapter of Leviticus is fulfilled with a tomb that is the scene of the Greatest Escape ever. A dead Jew, Yeshua, buried and sealed in a tomb, rises from the dead and walks out, lives with his mates for another 6 weeks, and then ascends in a cloud right before their eyes. Amazing story. And an amazing consequence in your life, if you believe it.

Historical markers of the week includes Lithuania and Britain, Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico and Columbine tragedy.

  • Day 7 of Holy Week: Who is Isaiah, what did he have to say about this?
    Apr 18 2025

It's Saturday, 2,000 years ago, and Jerusalem is quiet. A Jewish rabbi was killed and buried yesterday. What significance does all this have? Then, and even today?

Historical markers include Waco, Oklahoma City, Madison's slave, Lord Byron, and more.
