  • From the post-apocalyptic novel After the Virus - A Surviralist's Journal (available on Amazon). When a deadly mutated virus sweeps the globe, survival expert Will Scott knows that his only chance is in the remote Ishi Wilderness, once the domain of “America’s last wild Indian”. He soon finds that surviving the elements is nothing compared to the relentless pursuit of a failed-state militia bent on killing every “surviralist” existing outside of the quarantine zone. When he rescues a teenage girl named Hope, whose family has been slaughtered and trains her in wilderness self-sufficiency, her skills eventually exceed even his. His compassion is repaid when Hope becomes the provider and the warrior needed for them to endure. Told first-person in the style of a daily diary, each episode contains one or more day’s journal entries of nearly 12 months on the run in the wild.

Now is his time to synchronize with the rhythm of nature and hone his skills - he's going to have be on his game to deal with what's coming in the weeks and months ahead.

Great story and characters

sounds? or... no sounds?

I am new to your story, and I am really enjoying it. My only issue is in episode 5, after the crash u said you could hear sounds coming from in the crash you even played some muffled sounds of people screaming & moaning in the background, but then 2 sentences later describing the same scene you said there have never been any sounds from the crash. I'm a bit confused. You may want to pick sounds or no sounds and stick with it.

Anyway I really am enjoying your style of writing so thank you for that.

if you can get past inaccuracies its manageable.

he makes the lead character special forces and yet the guy makes many of rookie mistakes. Other inaccuracies like soldiers packing service revolvers.. or leaving guns and ammo.

Inventive

A very novel take on a post apocalyptic virus survival story. Trying to find book two. Interesting and realistic.

Absurd from the onset

Say what you want about climate change, but it doesn't work the way the author pretends it does. Normally that's fine, but the author is so smug in his error that it can't be overlooked.

Neither does Ebola. He clearly had no idea how this disease works. There are so many other potential world killers that he either didn't know about or chose not to use in an effort to cash in on relative recent ebola scares.

I won't be continuing.

Unbelievable

The main character easily murders his wife and two children to protect himself from suspected infection. He then purports as a compassionate survivor and adopts a strange girl, giving her full access to his camp, supplies, and firearms. Then he learns her name. This story was written by a guy that prides himself on what he believes are “survival” skills, yet doesn’t understand the basics of society’s response to a pandemic. Don’t drink the poison koolaid
