Ahoy, my friends! Welcome aboard the Afro Tales podcast. Join your Griot, Amon Mazingo, as we navigate through a captivating tale from the enchanting island of Puerto Rico. In this episode, we meet the clever mice of Cerro de Punta, who live peacefully under the guidance of their beloved Abuelita, Maritza. However, their tranquil life is disrupted by the arrival of Nangato, a formidable black cat. Santiago, an elderly mouse, brings alarming news of the cat's presence, sparking fear and uncertainty among the villagers. In a bold move, Abuelita Maritza proposes a daring plan to befriend Nangato, believing that hospitality may turn an enemy into an ally. As the fiesta unfolds, the mice prepare a grand celebration, but the outcome takes a surprising twist, teaching them a valuable lesson about trust and the nature of others.
