  • 39. | Stephanie Patterson | Sisters, Stories & Shifting Perspectives
    Jul 18 2025

In this episode, I’m joined by my sister, Stephanie Patterson, for a conversation that’s equal parts personal, lighthearted, and reflective. We talk about growing up together, how different our memories can be of the same events, and how those early experiences shaped who we are today.

We also dig into the ways life has changed over the years—how we parent, how we handle holidays, and how we’re learning to create more peace and presence in a fast-paced world. There’s some laughter, a few honest truths, and a whole lot of sisterly love.

Whether you come from a big family, a blended one, or you’re just figuring it out as you go, this episode is a reminder that everyone’s story is unique—and there’s always space to grow, reflect, and find a little humor along the way.

  • 38. | Colt Atwood | College Sports | A Day In The Life Of The Cowboy's Wife with Trish Charleston
    Jun 6 2025

Hey y’all, it’s Trish—The Cowboy’s Wife—and today I’m sitting down with my son-in-law, Colt Atwood, for a real conversation about family, sports, and the choices that shape us.

We talked about growing up in competitive families-Colt with five siblings under one roof in Katy, Texas, was a sport all its own. His stories about life with five boys, a sister, and a mom who somehow kept it all together are worth the listen alone.

Colt opened up about turning down a shot at pro baseball after being drafted by the Oakland A’s, and what it really meant to choose family and future over fame. We got into the changing world of college athletics—from NIL deals to transfer portals—and how it’s shifting the landscape for student-athletes across the country.

We also shared memories from our own time in the stands—watching Quincy pitch her heart out, living for those game-day nerves, and learning when to be quiet as parents. Trust me, that’s a lesson I had to learn the hard way.

If you’ve ever raised a kid in sports, made a tough call, or just love a good story about grit, heart, and finding Jesus, this one’s for you.

  • 37. | Mothers' Day with my Mom | A Day In The Life Of The Cowboy's Wife with Trish Charleston
    May 16 2025

Hey y’all, it’s Trish—The Cowboy’s Wife—and in this episode, I’m celebrating Mother’s Day with one of my very favorite people—my mom, Jenny Mansfield. I invited her on to share some of our favorite memories, the good, the awkward, and the downright hilarious.

We talked about what it was like growing up in a strict Assembly of God household, including the time I got scared of the “Holy Ghost” and tried to speak Spanish during church.

We laughed about our crazy neighbor Gaylord, who used to peek in our windows and scare us to death, and we took a walk down memory lane to the simpler days when all we needed was our imagination, some neighborhood friends, and a little blackjack chewing gum.

I also shared how much I appreciate the legacy of my grandma, a true prayer warrior who spent her days on her knees for all of us.

From stealing bubble gum to stealing cars as a kid, this episode is full of stories that shaped who I am today.

Grab a coffee, sit back, and join me and my mom for this heartfelt and hilarious conversation.

You might laugh, you might cry—but either way, I hope it leaves you feeling like part of the family.

    Let’s do this.

  • 36. | Stay Hooked! | A Day In The Life Of The Cowboy's Wife with Trish Charleston
    May 9 2025

Hey y’all, it’s Trish—The Cowboy’s Wife—and in this episode, I’m flying solo to share something that’s been years in the making: my new book, Stay Hooked.

This one’s raw, real, and straight from the heart. I take y’all behind the scenes on what it was like to pour my soul into this story—through the ups, the doubts, the lonely moments, and the big breakthroughs. It’s more than just pages—it’s a piece of my life, our rodeo journey, and Emma’s incredible story.

I talk about what it took to finally finish a chapter book (spoiler alert: it wasn’t easy), the rollercoaster of launching it, and the unexpected emotions of seeing who shows up to support you…and who doesn’t. I open up about learning to trust the process, staying present, and not letting the tough stuff steal your joy.

If you’ve ever chased a dream that felt just out of reach—or wondered if anyone would really “get” what you’re building—this episode is for you. I share a few laughs, a few tears, and a whole lot of truth about sticking with something that matters.

Thanks for riding this one out with me. I hope it reminds you to keep showing up, keep creating, and keep believing it’s worth it.

    Let’s do this.

  • 35. | Stu Crowe | A Day In The Life Of The Cowboy's Wife with Trish Charleston
    May 2 2025

Hey y’all, it’s Trish—The Cowboy’s Wife—and in this episode, I sat down with someone who’s not only a friend, but truly an inspiration…former PBR pick up man, Stu Crowe.

Stu and I talked about life, faith, and the kind of growth that doesn’t happen overnight. He shared his incredible story with raw honesty.

What he later came to realize, that even in the worst places, God was there every step of the way. We laughed, we got a little emotional, and most of all, we dug into what it looks like to come full circle.

From his early days chasing cowboy dreams, to the moments that tested him the most, to the faith that now guides him—Stu's story is proof that it’s never too late for a new beginning. He’s living proof of what happens when grace meets grit.

If you’ve ever felt like you were too far gone, too tired, or too uncertain—this episode is a reminder that you're never alone, and there’s always a way forward.

I hope this one speaks to you like it did to me. Tune in, and let’s ride this one out together.

  • 34. | Fighting Forward | A Day In The Life Of The Cowboy's Wife with Trish Charleston
    Apr 18 2025

In this episode, I sit down with Alicia Gant, an old schoolmate and now friend, thanks to God’s perfect timing.

Back in the day, Alicia was a powerhouse cheerleader, dancer, and corporate professional who was once at the top of her game—but silently battling the addiction of anorexia which soon led to alcoholism, and spiraled into the painful unraveling of her family.

We talk about her early days training at elite dance schools, living in the high-paced, highly competitive world of cheer and the tremendous stress it puts not only on your body, but your mind. Your self image is a constant concern. After college, marriage, and a demanding career that continued to keep her body in the spotlight, all while raising three young daughters, instead of turning to God, she began to self medicate.

Alicia opens up about being a “benchwarmer Christian,” and how the enemy tried to destroy everything she loved.

But this isn’t a story of defeat. It’s a testimony of God’s relentless pursuit, restoration, and the healing that begins when we let Him back in.

If you’ve ever felt like your life looked perfect on the outside but was falling apart behind closed doors—this one is for you.

God wants to be in your game, no matter what you are playing. He loves you when you are on the highest mountain, and He loves you when you are in the deepest pit. But you have to ask Him to join you.

Get off the bench and watch how you win with Him in charge.

    Don’t fight back…fight forward!

  • 33. | It's Your Choice | A Day In The Life Of The Cowboy's Wife with Trish Charleston
    Apr 11 2025

Hey y’all. This episode hits a little different. I found myself out checking cows the other day — Kevin was out of town — and as I watched a group of baby calves play off in the woods, it stirred something in me. It brought back memories of my own childhood, running wild with my friends, always chasing freedom and avoiding rules. But it also made me think about choices… and how those choices shape our lives in ways we don’t always realize.

With Easter around the corner, I couldn’t help but reflect on Jesus riding into Jerusalem, knowing full well what was coming — the pain, the misunderstanding, and the sacrifice. I’ve been watching The Chosen and teaching Bible study, and I see it so clearly now: even those closest to Him didn’t always understand what He was trying to say. And if I’m honest, I’ve been there too. I’ve made more than my share of bad choices. But what a gift it is that we’re still invited into grace.

This episode is about that invitation — the one God sends out to all of us. It’s not complicated. It’s not filled with rules. It’s just a choice. A choice to believe, to trust, to turn toward Him. I talk a bit about hell, about what separation from God really means, and about the transformation that happens when you finally say “yes.”
I’m not trying to scare anyone or preach at you — I’m just sharing what’s been on my heart. If you’re feeling a little lost or unsure, maybe this one’s for you. And if you’ve already RSVP’d to that invitation, I hope it reminds you why you did.

  • 32. | God’s Timing, Always | A Day In The Life Of The Cowboy's Wife with Trish Charleston
    Apr 4 2025

Hey friends, in this episode, I sit down with Ashleigh Gibson to talk about the incredible journey she and her husband have walked through—the heartbreak of infertility, the faith that carried them through it, and the long road to finally conceiving. We dive into the raw and real emotions of loss, the moments of questioning, and the unexpected ways God showed up in their story.

After investing so much time, energy, and resources into IVF, their journey was anything but easy. But through it all, they held onto hope, even when the outcome was uncertain.

One of the most powerful takeaways? The reminder that even in our deepest heartbreak, we are never alone. God is there, weaving His presence into the moments we don’t always understand, bringing comfort and hope in ways we never expected.

Their story is a beautiful reminder of God's perfect timing, even when it feels like things are unfolding at a pace we can't control. Sometimes, the waiting feels impossible, but in the end, His timing proves to be exactly what we need, even if we don’t understand it at the time.

Ashleigh’s story is one of faith, resilience, and learning to trust, even when the path ahead felt impossible. In the end, their persistence and faith led to a double blessing!

So, grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and join us for a conversation that will touch your heart, bring encouragement, and remind you of the beauty in surrender.
