n this profoundly moving episode of Radiant Resilience, Tawny is joined by Eric Donaho, a retired U.S. Army sergeant, Purple Heart recipient, veteran advocate, and author of Canyon of Hope: From Darkness to Dawn. Eric opens up about his life-changing military service, the heartbreak of losing his newborn son, surviving multiple combat explosions, and his private battle with PTSD and suicidal thoughts.
He shares how a failed suicide attempt, a hiking trip through the canyons of New Mexico, and a renewed sense of faith changed his life’s course. Eric also details his incredible humanitarian work in Nepal, where he helped establish a wheelchair repair center for children with disabilities.
This episode is a raw and courageous look at how we keep going when everything feels lost—and the ways faith, family, and service can lead us back to purpose.
