    El 33 revolucions neix com un homenatge a tota la música que va editar-se inicialment en vinil, des del naixement d’aquest suport, el 1948, fins la publicació el 31 d’octubre de 1982 del primer àlbum en format CD, el ’52nd Street’ de Billy Joel. En les darreres temporades, no obstant, el programa ha fet diverses incursions més enllà d’aquests límits temporals, per tal de gaudir no només de tota la música que girava als plats dels toca-discs els anys 50, 60 i 70, sinó també d’aquella que ens va veure créixer durant les dècades dels 80 i els 90.
