  • 58. Is Mike Brown a Fraud? Knicks Find Their Man
    Jul 7 2025

While it's not official, Mike Brown is set to become the next New York Knicks head coach. He wasn't exactly on the top of anyone's list when this search began, but he will lead the Knicks going forward. Despite a healthy winning record, some people believe Brown isn't as good of a coach as that record indicates. The 2 Dummies dive in.

With NBA free agency in full swing, we examine the moves made by both the Knicks and Nets, and give some quick thoughts on the rest of the league.

Our halftime topic has to do with some of the reaction from people regarding the P. Diddy case.

On the other side of the break, we get into the current state of the Mets and Yankees. Will also asks LeeJay if they're frauds considering some of the things they've said about young players in baseball and football.

Our sports shorts section includes Clayton Kershaw, the potential sports gambling scandal involved a Cleveland Guardians pitcher, Bobby Jenks' death, and WNBA expansion.

    Please enjoy!

  • 57. So, the NBA Held a Draft...
    Jun 30 2025

There used to be a time when the NBA Draft was much-see TV. Now? Not so much. Will barely watched it last week, while LeeJay didn't watch it at all. Still, there was much to discuss this week about the draft, why the Brooklyn Nets did what they did, R.J. Luis, and some general NBA notes.

Our halftime topic this week had to do with July 4th. We'll leave it at that!

On the other side of the break, the 2 Dummies get into a long discuss about the Mets (and this was before the Pirates swept them). Our sports shorts section this week focuses on the New York Giants, the NHL, and the NCAA potentially allowing college athletes and staff to bet on games.

Our Mt. Rushmore this week is foods we need to have at the movie theatre!

  • 56. The June Swoon Hits the Mets
    Jun 24 2025

During the offseason, the 2 Dummies continuously questioned how the Mets were building their starting pitching rotation. And through the first two months of the season, we were proven wrong. But the Mets have hit a rough patch, and the starting pitching is a big reason why.

Since LeeJay missed last week's episode, we had to give him time this week to spit some bars about the current situation regarding the Knicks head coach search. He's not worried. At all.

We spend the rest of the podcast kind of bouncing around as we chat about the latest drama surrounding bored teenagers and the NYC subway, the Fanatics fest, the NBA Finals, the Kevin Durant trade, and Aaron Rodgers' possible fake marriage.

This week, it's our Mt. Rushmore of must-have ballpark food. Not surprisingly, Will nails 3 of LeeJay's choices...

  • 55. The Mets Should Act Now!
    Jun 17 2025

The New York Mets are in their first official rut of the season as they were swept by the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend at Citi Field. While it's not time to panic, it is time to act. Joining the show this week to fill in for LeeJay is a new dummy, Will's good friend Erik! Erik believe the Mets shouldn't wait until the trade deadline to make moves, especially after the blockbuster trade Sunday between the Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants.

With Erik on the show this week as another Giants fan, him and Will get into it about the team as minicamp starts this week. How soon will Jaxson Dart start? Is the defense really that improved?

This week's halftime topic is unique to Erik. He lives in the Atlanta area now, so what's the biggest differences between fandom down South and NYC?

On the other side of the break, Erik and Will get into the latest saga about the Knicks' head coach search; a recap of a panel about student athletes at a conference Erik attended last week; and the current state of sports card collecting.

Of course with having two big pro wrestling fans on the show this week, the Mt. Rushmore is the most underrated Intercontinental Champions in WWF/WWE history.

  • 54. The Final Word on the Knicks (For Now)
    Jun 9 2025

The New York Knicks have been a running topic the past several weeks on the podcast, and for good reason. And now that New York has a vacancy at the head coach position, it'll be in the news just a bit longer. LeeJay is getting a little tired of the constant Knicks chatter, but the 2 Dummies discuss them one more time in depth this week. At least for now.

Elsewhere, the 2 Dummies get into it about Caitlin Clark and the future of WNBA salaries. They agree the players need to get paid more, but what it a good starting point.

The halftime topic dives into whether the Dummies care that they're Puerto Rican.

On the other side of the break, Will wonders what will happen with youth sports now that there's even more money being thrown around at the college level. They also get into the Mets and Yankees, and finish off with some headlines regarding the Pacers, the NBA Finals, and Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers.

Our Mt. Rushmore this week takes a more positive route with our favorite sports personalities.

  • 53. Where Do The Knicks Go From Here?
    Jun 5 2025

In a span of 72 hours, the future of the New York Knicks franchise might have changed forever. On Saturday night, they lost to the Pacers, which ended an impressive playoff run that say them reach the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years. On Tuesday, New York decided to part ways with head coach Tom Thibodeau after 5 seasons with the team. So, now what? The 2 Dummies break it all down in one of the biggest sports stories of the year in New York City.

Elsewhere, the Dummies chat about the current state of the Mets and Yankees, Aaron Judge hiding in his hotel room on the road, and a cornucopia of various sports topics, from Saquon Barkley on the cover of Madden, the National Spelling Bee, Inside the NBA, and Pat McAfee.

Our halftime topic focuses homelessness in NYC, and finally, it's our Mt. Rushmore of our most hated sports personalities.

  • 51. Down 20, Still Alive: The Knicks’ Gutsy Comeback in Game 3
    May 26 2025

The Knicks entered Sunday night's game against the Indiana Pacers with their backs against a wall down 0-2 in the Eastern Conference Finals. New York even got down in the game by 20 points. But Karl Anthony-Towns had other plans as New York roared back to capture Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The 2 Dummies discuss. Elsewhere in this shorter episode, the Dummies discuss all things Mets, and chat about the issue with Paul Skenes in Pittsburgh.
