POSE BREAKDOWN: Downward facing dog is a foundational yoga pose with many benefits. It stretches the entire back body—hamstrings, calves, spine, and shoulders—while building strength in the arms and core. It improves circulation by reversing blood flow, calms the nervous system, and helps relieve tension and fatigue. As both an energizing and grounding pose, it's often used as a reset in yoga practice or a transition between poses.
