Sebastián Rea is an Ecuadorian-American writer and director dedicated to reshaping Hollywood’s narrative. A fellow in the 2024-25 NBCU TV Writers Launch Program and a recipient of Netflix’s Indigenous Inclusion Grant, he was a staff writer on the upcoming Peacock/UCP drama series Devil In Disguise: John Wayne Gacy.
In this episode, we dive into his incredible rise, the challenges he’s overcome as an immigrant kid with no industry connections, and how he’s paving the way for the next generation of diverse storytellers.
