Acerca de esta escucha
They rescued elephants from the wild - but in the end, it was the elephants who rescued them.
Welcome, Strangers, to Small Talkumentary by My Mama Done Told Me!
In this spinoff of @talkumentarypodcast we watch documentaries, then small talk about them. (Basically, it’s the same show, but less frequent and a bit shorter.)
In this episode, we discuss the deeply touching Netflix documentary The Elephant Whisperers. Set against the stunning landscapes of southern India, this short film follows Bomman and Bellie, a couple from the Kattunayakan tribe, who devote their lives to caring for orphaned baby elephants. At the heart of the story is Raghu, a young elephant who becomes a true member of their family. We talk about the bond between humans and animals, the spiritual and emotional weight of caregiving, and how love—whether for each other or for a creature in need—can reshape the course of a life.
