Have you ever made a promise to yourself, only to see it crumble under the weight of procrastination? Our latest episode tackles the elusive pursuit of unbreakable discipline, with insights from thinkers like Chris Williamson and Steven Bartlett. We dissect the psychological toll of unmet personal expectations and the corrosive effect this has on our self-trust and confidence. Through my own stories and gentle strategies, I challenge the relentless hustle culture and guide you towards achieving your extraordinary goals with a newfound steadiness.

The journey towards discipline is riddled with the pitfalls of shame and guilt, a theme we explore deeply when discussing sobriety and entrepreneurship. I share powerful narratives of resilience, shining a light on the necessity of a compassionate approach to setbacks. Our conversation takes an intriguing turn with the mention of a Denver experiment that sparked transformative outcomes by addressing basic needs—prompting a reflection on universal basic income and the philosophical musings on living an extraordinary life. This episode doesn't shy away from the big questions or the complicated answers.

Wrapping up, we're treated to an invigorating discussion with Andrew Huberman and David Goggins on the neurophysiology of resilience and mental toughness. This synthesis of science and personal practice provides a blueprint for setting achievable goals, embracing self-compassion, and developing a discipline that withstands life's pressures. 110%?

I get it. I understand and appreciate David's energy and insight, however (and this may be nit picking), but there is no such thing as 110%. Why not 111% or 187%. It's 100% and that's all there is. Be 100% committed. Love this podcast.
