So far I listen to most of this series and loved it! My 80 yr old mom and my 13yr old child likes listening to this series in the vehicle! I’m shock Doreen is mean and jealous, I wish her and the lady cop get to be friends. I hope we get to see nick with a love interest before this book series ends.

I totally do not agree with your take on Doreen is “jealous” of the new detective. The new detective was a jerk out of the gate.
I have listen to all the Books and know the characters. Writing Doreen as a jealous
And insecure woman is not accurate if you how she is. She is done allowing people to walk on her, done being a sorry mat. That doesn’t make her jealous. She’s done laying games. I am disappointed of How you wrote her in This book. She knows who she is and what She wants. She is not jealous of the new detective but neither will she be a door mat.

I Have read and listened to all of dale Mayers audiobooks.And I liked how she made doreens character grow threw out
the series. this series has everything I love. love between family, and close friendships turning to love . and most importantly laughter.I absolutely love this series

I will edit review if I can finish listening. I'm having hard time listening to Doreen be so rude, whiny, idiotic and to me she just seems so ungrateful to Mac and everyone that has helped her. I really enjoyed the first few books, mainly for Thadeus. But have now come to dislike the main character. Glad I listened to most of the series on another app and didnt use my credits til now. Usually sad when a series ends but right now glad there is only one more to go. Only sticking with it at this point because I have spent too much time on the series to not know the end.
