First Impression:

I’ve found a new author and series to add to my auto buy list.

Favorite Line/Quote:

“Oh yes, Sean Kowalski. Your amazing kisses have made all rational thought fly out of my besotted brain. If only you could fill me with your magic penis, I know we’ll fall madly in love and live happily ever after.”

The Narration:

I love Lauren Fortgang’s narration of the Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep so I wanted to check out some more of her work. I listened to books 1 & 2 in the Kowalski Family and loved the narration and writing so it was a no brainer for me to listen to this one too.

What I liked:

Everything really. Shannon Stacey knows how to write a sweet, fun and sexy romance. I love how this series is built around a family so that we get to see past couples and get glimpses of future leading characters. The Kowalski is so heart warming and fun to read that I wish I could be part of their family. From the older generation to the even the kids, Stacey has created a great world within the crazy, fun-loving family.

What I didn’t like:

NOTHING!

Lasting Impression:

Shannon Stacey and Lauren Fortgang is another great author/narrator combo that goes on my favorite list.

Will I continue this series:

YES! I’m totally hooked and already have the other books waiting for me to devour them.

Would I read this author again:

I’ve already read 2 other novels and 3 novella by Shannon Stacey so it’s safe to say YES I will continue to read her books.

There is just something about "pretending to be in a relationship" story line for me that will never get old. IT always sets up impossibly hilarious situations, awkward moments, and just straight up fun. Emma and Sean do not disappoint in this scenario. When grandma gets in on the fun, I just couldn't stop listening. And as per usual, the ending was worth the wait. But readers- be warned. Not all Kowalski family books are created equal. Kari and Joe was good, Emma and Sean is better! But please, skip Mitch and Paige. I forgo'ed Kevin and Beth because reviewers said stay away- and i'm glad i did.

So do yourself a favor- Jump into Emma and Sean! But be wary of the series as an entirety.

She is a good narrator. she has narrated the others in this series and I love her.

Shannon Stacey is a good writer, her books are so happy and wonderful to listen to, this book was really good.

What did you love best about Yours to Keep?

It is based on a fun premise...girl needs to fill position of 'made up fiance' to ease her worried grandmother's mind.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Maybe a deeper/darker storyline

What does Lauren Fortgang bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I really like Lauren Fortgang's performances. She gives each character their own voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The subplot of the meddling elders was a lot of fun and made me chuckle throughout.

This was a really nice romance story - it was easy to listen to and enjoyable story. I liked the narrator.

This was fantastic! I really enjoyed the first two but this is one that I want to reread (or listen to) now, even before picking up the next in the series. Love them all.

So much depth with the Kowalskis clan which just makes the story so.. real. Kat was a hoot and I loved that the author had some parts with her narrative.

I also enjoyed hearing about her new aging love and that dynamic, not frequently written about. It just made me want Emma & Sean to end up being the ones on the bench watching fireworks even more.

Emma was also fierce and Sean strong without being domineering which is a combo I love.

Great read and recommend to all. Could be a stand alone but do yourself a favor and start from the beginning.

With all the paranormal stories, that I truly adore, I wanted something light for a change. This didn't disappoint. It was funny & romantic without the cheesy parts. Although the storyline was a bit predictable it's still a Must Read or......Must Listen to, whichever. The writer & author did a wonderful job.

This book is one i would over and over again! Its full of humor and fun and just simply a really good listen. Once again Lauren Fortgang delivered the characters well! I love her! Its a light listen but one that made my 8 hour shift at work pass by very fast!

Love, laugh, romanance... PERFECT!
