It quickly becomes Winter's personal mission then to rescue her adopted sibling, Rebecca, with the help of the others, Kenjin, Talia, and Wowen. Guided by the desire for family, Winter will stop at nothing to save the one she calls sister and sibling. Drawn to stories of heroism and self-sacrifice, an aspiring squire, Caitlyn Adelaide, seeks to offer her services to an imprisoned Edalis. Taken by his stories, Caitlyn takes it upon herself to conduct her own investigations and soon proposes a theory that may clear the apprentice Stormcaster of murder and wrongdoing. The more she investigates though, the thicker the plot against Edalis and his beloved Rebecca gets. For justice and truth, Caitlyn Adelaide seeks to join the Six Fellows and put an end to the D'Avoneese conspiracy against the man she tries to love and the Six Fellows she hopes to call her family.
