This was my first experience with this author's work, and it was an exciting blend of noir. paranormal elements. and a super-secret organization. I appreciated Victor Drake who reminded me of other fictional detectives developed within a noir framework. I liked James and Claire. I felt for James who was being stalked and who only wanted the best for Claire. I enjoyed the twists. I thought Warren du Plooy's narration was good. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

A very entertaining listen! A mystery with some sci fi thrown in. Experiments gone wrong. A great cast of characters. Twists. Danger. A little romance. Warren du Plooy narrates this story beautifully. He has a nice voice with appropriate expression. 5 stars for him as well.
