Acerca de esta escucha

Chelsea and Sam Rae are just like any other young couple in love. Working and trying to make a living and have a baby. Everything seems to be going as planned until Grandpa ends up in the garden. It seems Grandma has some skeletons in her closet that she wants Chelsea to take care of. Being the good granddaughter, she tries to do what's right but it doesn't end up like she planned. According to Margaret, her older sister, this is just another screw up Chelsea has done.

Chelsea is determined to make this right and ends up learning a lot about herself and her family in the process.

When I first picked this up I thought it might be a bit of a cozy mystery. It really is just a nice couple Chelsea and Sam dealing with the craziness of family and life. It was an enjoyable listen that everyone could laugh a little and relate to a bit without being over the top. Penny Taddio Schroeder narrated at a good pace for the story using a southern-ish accent (I’m from the midwest, so it sounded okay to me. If you’re from the south, please don’t hold that against me : ) She managed to convey the sweetness between Chelsea and Sam. There were times Chelsea struggled to deal with the crazy that I think the voice may have actually made Chelsea seem like she was whiney. Overall, it was a refreshing change of pace.

Nice change of pace

Drama llamas and some laughs. Margaret is such a pill and needs put in her place asap!!! Somebody needed to stand up to her shenanigans and nasty comments! Everyone coddled her and her flapping jaws needed wired shut. Regardless of what's going on in her life, she had not right to force herself and her ideas on ANYONE. Glad for Chelsea and Sam. The narrator was good. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review.

margaret is nasty
