Then Casey’s old college friend, Mark Owens moves to town. Jan finds the fact that he is a funeral director unsettling, because of the heartbreaking memories his professions stirs up for her. Just when she is able to accept him as a friend, Jan begins to notice something peculiar going on in Bellville. Why are so many seemingly healthy people in this small town dying in their sleep?
