This debut novel by Debbie S. Tenbrink is really good. I saw that two other people have left very low ratings and I cannot understand why. With no review for their reasons, I think this is very unfair to the author and to potential readers/listeners. I almost didn't purchase this book based on the poor ratings but am glad I ignored them.
This is the beginning of the Jo Riskin series. The publisher's summary is excellent. This is a solid procedural with a good storyline, believable characters that are well fleshed out and an enticing ending with a cliffhanger the protagonist doesn't see coming.
Colleen Tremblay does an excellent job narrating.
Very HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
