First I would like to say I am not a German speaker I had a good friend of mine help me translate this story. I found this light romantic comedy to be funny with a very realistic and believable plot. This story takes place during a pandemic so at times it can be very deep and thought provoking yet other times laugh out loud hilarious. The characters are very likeable and sound like people you see on a daily basis. Narrator Kristina Rothe did a phenomenal job and her comedic timing and voices just brought more depth and life to the book. Valerie life is in a complete turmoil everything she ever hoped for or dreamed of has been destroyed not to mention sharing a place with her ex during all of this.
Valerie decides she is going to get back out there in the dating pool and with her friends beside her she signs up for an online dating app. What could go wrong with something that innocent? Everything and anything with all the pitfalls included. The banter that goes on between the characters is right on point with the things we discuss with our friends to the point my friend and I couldn't stop laughing. If you speak German or know someone who will translate it for you I highly recommend this book just make sure you have plenty of face tissues because you laugh until you cry. I received this book for free from the narrator. This is my honest unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving of my own volition.
