This second book in the Lou Thorne series is as good or better than the first. A fascinating bit of “supernatural” with Lou’s ability to go where she wants within seconds by using shadow adds to the drama of her goal of ridding the world of drug lords and their ilk. Add in her Aunt Lucy, Lucy’s retired DEA agent King and (sigh) Konstantine and wow what gripping action to enjoy. I especially am enamored of the “Beast Of La Loon” and the interesting relationship with Lou. I am impressed with Hollie Jackson's narration particularly Lou's voice and the Italian voices (both English speaking and Italian speaking).

The fascinating tale continues.

Lou is a gal that can slide through shadows and travel that way. She can also visit a shore where creatures lurk. Ones that she has come to befriend. She brings the creature bodies of drug runners and drug lords, murderers and other human monsters to feast on.
But she has a strange relationship with one of the bosses, Konstantine.
Her aunt is dying too. Life is getting complicated.
This is so good! Not as good as book one but still pretty darn good!
Great narration!

Good follow up book!
