How would spending a few extra days in each other’s company affect the relationship between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy?

While her sister Jane is ill at Netherfield, Elizabeth overhears the proud Mr Darcy express his admiration of her and her fine eyes. Not sure what to think of his praise after all of their previous disagreements (and more flattered than she wants to admit) Elizabeth responds by teasing him, forcing Darcy to reconsider his opinion of a woman who has truly bewitched him.

The ensuing day and weeks see confrontations and apologies and the beginnings of a friendship between Darcy and Elizabeth. But their warming acquaintance impacts the behavior of those around them inciting jealousy, anger and malicious falsehoods. Is the strength of their emotional connection enough to reunite them and put them back on the path to love?

I had read this book already, but had forgotten some of the details. I enjoyed both the reading and the listening. I would recommend this to people who like Pride and Prejudice variations.

The bones of the story are the same, but Elizabeth and Darcy's relationship becomes friendly much earlier in the story - at Netherfield. Wickham is still Wickham and does Wickhamy things. All is well in the end, which is what I look for in a P&P variation!

I enjoyed Katherine Anderson's narration. I felt as though she enhanced the story with her performance. It is a long story, but the time flew by!

Good 4-star narration by Katherine Anderson. I sometimes felt her intonation didn’t accurately reflect the emotion being described in the text. Still good though. I’d forgotten how angsty this book was when I first read the Kindle version.

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Heather Moll. I'm unsure what I expected, maybe just filling in parts of the original Pride and Prejudice? But this was a rewrite with the same/similar ending. It had the feel of the original for the most part, so in that I enjoyed it. There was one place I was on edge agonizing over what Darcy was going to choose to do. I wanted to pause the audio and walk away because I didn't trust the author to do right. But she did. I definitely prefer the original work much more. I will look to see if this author has any completely original work of her own, and try it next time.

Katherine Anderson did a good job narrating. Her voice was perfect for the book.

Not what I was expecting

Now I have both read this story on kindle and listened to it on audible. Loved it. Well written and greatly narrated. Elizabeth finds out early on that Darcy admires her and this changes the story. Wickham is taking a different turn to twist it all to his benefit. Great story.

I love Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. And like a true fan I have often speculated if Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth would still be together had one small thing changed. This was a book that help satisfy that curiosity. Heather Moll does an excellent job in keeping in line with the story by Jane Austen. She also does an amazing job at telling the story from both Fitwilliam and Elizabeth’s point of view. I loved listening to this and look forward to listening to it again and again and again.

Very entertaining book. Darcy and Elizabeth were delightful as they grew to know one another during their two more days at Netherfield. Elizabeth sorta accidentally read a page of a letter Darcy was writing Georgianna talking about Mr. W harming Georgianna at R. Elizabeth did not know who Mr. W was or where R was but did realize Georgianna had been involved in something harmful. Darcy was angry that she read it, but they got over it and fell in love. Mr. Wickham came to Meryton and was a duplicitous as ever, but it was a new twist on how he went about tormenting Darcy.

Misunderstandings drove a wedge between Darcy and Elizabeth and both were very hurt. It took a little while for all to work out, but it was not too much angst. Elizabeth found out the hard way who Mr W was and where R was, and what happened to Georgianna. I found the part where Darcy and Col. Richard F went with Richard's brother to visit the courtesans to be quite entertaining

Mr. Bennett was absolutely awful. He was more lazy and disinterested than usual. Elizabeth was not as smart mouthed and know it all as she can be in other books. She was very likable. The bad actors received the punishment they deserved. All in all it was a very interesting story - well written and well narrated. I highly recommend Two More Days at Netherfield.

I would recommend this nook to all lovers of Jane Austen and regencies.

The narrator was fabulous! She pulled you into ms molls written word easily and kept you there!
Give yourself a treat!!

Starts off well, and then just spins its wheels. The misunderstanding is... fine... but Darcy’s “temptation” to replace Elizabeth is unappealing and too long. It returns at the end with a resolution that’s neither required nor useful to the story.
The narrator uses the same voice for every sentence Elizabeth utters; whether she is happy, exasperated, affectionate, or satirical, she sounds exactly the same, with the same rise halfway through the sentence, followed by a treacly conclusion. It takes away so much of the potential personality of the character. Overall, not a great listen.

First five hours are great, then 8 hours of tedium

This story had a great beginning. The extra two days at Netherfield and Elizabeths and Darcy’s dialog and discussions were wonderful. The middle of the book was somewhat tedious. The details of the separate Darcy and Bennett family Christmas celebration were boring to me. When Lizzy and Darcy were reunited towards the end it was much better again.
I enjoyed Katherine Anderson’s narration. She does a very good job distinguishing between the female characters. I especially enjoyed Elizabeth’s voice. Mr Darcy’s was very distinguished so you knew when he was speaking, but I always imagine him with a more baritone voice.
I was given a copy of this book at my request for my honest review.

In this Pride and Prejudice variation, Jane and Lizzy stay two more days at Netherfield, allowing Lizzy and Darcy to spend more time in each other's company. After many misunderstandings and miscommunications, Lizzy and Darcy finally begin to form a sincere friendship. Other witnesses to this friendship interfere to separate them just when their friendship turns to love.

I loved this sweet variation! Lizzy and Darcy are allowed a lot of page time together in the first half of the book, and their sparring matches were legendary. I loved how the author wrote an undercurrent of conversation between them during games or other conversations with no one else the wiser. There was plenty of angst and villains, and it kept me entertained every moment. The narration was well done, with different voices for each character. I definitely recommend this variation!
