Acerca de esta escucha

Turning Point at Gettysburg is an American Civil War novel loosely based on the true story of William Pattison “Will” St. Clair, a Confederate private who was severely wounded and captured in Pickett’s Charge, the most noted confrontation of the war, and the turning point which led to the eventual Union victory. The characters are real people, and the events as accurate as could be determined. It is told through the eyes of the protagonist so the reader can feel the drama as if present. This is a story of personal suffering, conflict and transformation which helped lead to sweeping changes for the United States. It involves a lot of notable and influential historic figures with whom Will came in touch. Not unlike our present day, this is a story of a sharply divided nation, contested elections and how the nation eventually came together after such sharp political contrast. It is more than just a novel; it is an illustrated historical document with an epilogue explaining what happened to its characters later. Stanley J. “Stan” St. Clair is the great-great grandson of William P. St. Clair. He is the co-founder of St. Clair Research and served as a State Commissioner of the Scottish Clan Sinclair USA for several years and as its Eastern Vice President for two years He was a regular contributor to their official publication, Yours Aye, during that time. Stan is a newspaper columnist and the author of more than 20 other published books including the critically acclaimed series Most Comprehensive Origins of Clichés, Proverbs and Figurative Expressions and owner of St. Clair Publications.
