Having listened to the first book, I was eager to listen to the second book. This book took the acceptance of your OCD to the next level by introducing tools and techniques to be able to cope, with calming exercises and breathing to calm your brain. It also goes through a questionnaire of your workplace to see if you have any triggers in your workplace and how you can cope and put in place a plan to succeed. Definitely going to be listening to the next one

I’ve struggled with intrusive thoughts for years and didn’t expect much from another “program,” but this one felt different. It’s broken down into clear steps that aren’t overwhelming, and the focus on building a better relationship with myself really stuck with me. The tone is kind and real like someone who's actually been through it.

I've never had a formal diagnosis, but my brain has always had a knack for getting stuck in a loop, replaying the same worries until I'm exhausted. This book offered a different path, one that didn't involve wrestling with every single thought. The focus on sensory awareness gives me something tangible to grab onto when my mind starts to spiral. I’ve literally used the 5-4-3-2-1 method to pull myself back from the brink during a stressful workday; it's like dropping an anchor in a stormy sea. Those thought patterns can be incredibly isolating, making you feel like you’re on your own little island, and the practical advice on connection really did feel like someone sent a boat. Scott LeCote’s narration is wonderful; his steady, kind voice feels like a reassuring hand on your shoulder, not a clinical lecture. I'd recommend this for anyone who suspects their brain is a little too 'busy' and is looking for practical ways to quiet the noise and reconnect with the world.

This audiobook gave a really refreshing take on the management of OCD, inclusive of sensory awareness and connection. I found the grounding techniques quite useful in helping me stay present in overwhelming moments. I also liked how such exercises felt pragmatic and easy to conduct in real life. What's more, the focus on social connection served as a nice added touch-a signal toward relationality in healing. If OCD has left you feeling alone and stuck, this audiobook offers a considerate and very capable avenue to finding balance.

I can so relate to the author's statement when he said that he did not realize that his job was making him ill. It is unbelievable that how much we take care of ourselves. If the environment around us is not good, we are not good. This is why the author focuses on self-care and different meditation techniques such as grounding.
