Two children, who survive the Ocoee Massacre in Florida, grow up to become journalists. They investigate Post Cards of Black American babies being used as alligator bait, but also stumble across Circular 3591. The two fall in love after World War 2, but can their love survive Florida Sundown Towns and lynchings?
Gator Clouds, the most feared man in Florida, and his sister, Regan, set out to erase any history about the Ocoee Massacre or the gator bait scandal. Remy, another survivor of the Ocoee Massacre, grows up to be in direct opposition to the rise of CORE (Congress of Racial Equality). He puts his relationship with Jimothy to the test when he decides to take up arms and fight back in Florida.
