Have you ever dreamed of making a living on YouTube? The good news is—it’s more achievable than you think! But to succeed, it takes more than just uploading videos. It requires discipline, strategy, and a commitment to creating content that is both engaging and relevant.
When I first started on YouTube, my approach was simple: shoot a video, upload it, and wait for the traffic to roll in. Unfortunately, that strategy didn't work. With millions of videos being uploaded every minute, your content can easily get lost in the noise. So, how do you stand out?
In this book, I share the key principles that will help you build a channel that attracts views and grows your audience. From creating high-quality videos to perfecting your thumbnails, building retention, and leveraging branding, I show you the essential steps to making YouTube work for you.
If you're ready to turn your YouTube channel into a real source of income, this book is your roadmap to success. Let's get started!

Make money selling YouTube videos to local businesses except the videos go on your channel. So I can have a channel with lawyer videos, dentist videos, butcher, baker, candlestick maker videos… I’m sure YouTube will love a multi-faceted audience and gladly promote my videos. I love the part where it’s like just make one video a day that gets 80,000 views and you’re set! Double it and you’re making $200 a day and can earn a living. Like wow just one 80k–160k video a day — that’s so easy!
Also he mentioned that in addition to having a bunch of local businesses’ content all on one channel he also then “chases stories” like car crashes, accidents, murders — he’s gotta get the story like he’s a journalist now and his channel is also gonna be a journalist channel? Like how many industries can one channel tap into am I right haha? Oh and apparently this also helps with backlinks — because a few times a year news channels will ask to use his footage and credit his YouTube, because I’m sure people then see it on the news and just rush over to his channel like it’s a 2015 Black Friday sale.
It sounds like the author hasn’t figured out how to stick to a single YouTube audience that’s large enough to tap into and provide value that they watch at least 70% through. He’s using buckshot when a rifle’s precision is needed. I don’t know everything but in my experience this was very unhelpful and a waste of $3 but that’s part of the experience — sometimes you find gold, sometimes you don’t.
Feels like the author rushed to write the book on how to win at YouTube before figuring out how to win at YouTube. I’d recommend The YouTube Formula by Derral Eves instead — at least he’s gotten billions of views and is endorsed by MrBeast (399,000,000 subs on YouTube) himself in the foreword.
I’ll give him credit for at least trying to write a book — but honestly, this one will probably hurt more than help if you’re serious about building a real YouTube channel.
AI narration, mesh of strategies slopped together. Generic advice.
