so the premise of the story it's really good but the conversations and banter are just cringe and groan inducing especially during the last fight, also kinda mad that the mc didn't use plunderer on that fight

yeah....

I have been thinking this since the first novel; but this is very much a clone of Solo Leveling. While LiteRPG are very common now, even in western literature, this one shares strong similarities to Solo Leveling, but the only difference is that the main character isn’t the only character able to level up. Solo Leveling is by far better, but this has potential and hopefully it can be anime. Some dialogue is cringe but as someone who has been trying to write too, dialogue is hard.

Good Solo Leveling clone

The story was OK, but it really laid the anime cliché on very heavenly. I lost count of how many times he said this is an impossible battle. But if you like this style a book, where the OP main character defeat the impossibly powerful villain. Then you should like this story.

Just A little too much of a cliché story.

without spoiling it this valueme shows just how OP the MC is and sets up a problem for the MC to solve again it is very hard not to spoil it

best valume of this series so far

It was a good start. like him soloing and gaining lvl. But he keeps pushing the girls away and they keep almost dieing. I don't see wh6 he don't start a party with his sister and the other two girls and when he started to join the guild and telling his sister to join a guild I was done with the story all together. what was the point in hiding your skills the whole time and almost letting his sister die and his other two friends die to hide his skill and then just turn around and join the guild because all he can think about is a pretty girl. He is so gullible and to trusting. I don't think I'll buy anymore of these novel. because I like the soloing part. so yeah I wish I could get my money back on these because of that.

it was a good start. But went to trash of a story.

The story has a solid plot line for their characters but the lackluster writing and unengaged narrator do take a lot out of the performance. The narrator has definitely improved since vol 1 but still has a ways to go. At least it doesn’t sound like he’s reading for the first time while narrating in this one. That being said the pacing of this volume is basically nonexistent, you will speed through weeks of character progression with little explanation (outide of the stat screen being read verbatim, again) and then listen to nearly an hour of monologuing through a single fight.

Overall good story but terrible pacing and very repetitive.

You know that super secret OP skill the MC got at the climax of the last book? Not used or even thought about in this book whatsoever beyond taking up room on the stat screen.

You know how the bad guy from the last book was just 100% evil for the sake of villainous evil, and how utterly cringe his dialogue was? More of the same here.

Predictably disappointing

so the story is interesting it's similar in ways to solo leveling That's probably what it's trying to do however it's got some frustrating qualities

number one the constant stat reminder I mean it's okay if you do it every once in awhile but man it keeps doing it over and over and over again and sometimes these stat sheet reminders are like 2 minutes long doesn't sound like much but when you do it six or seven times in a story it gets really repetitive

number two the main character constantly lies and hides his abilities and really important information from practically everyone around him I have no problem with him hiding his true strength as the story actually goes into a lot of detail as to why The problem lies in his reasons he discovers things about the world that nobody else knows and he's just like oh well better keep it a secret.... not even considering the ramifications of his decision he knows about the remote tower The special boss summons The limit on dungeons these are just to name a couple The problem is we don't know what that would have ramification-wise on the story or the world kind of feels like a child playing with a gun.... especially when he was knocking out dungeons for his original title he only had entered five dungeons up to that point but one of them went critical after he cleared it That's way too much of a coincidence and makes him look extremely irresponsible..... another reason is that he honestly just feels quite dumb supposably has hundreds and hundreds of intelligence points but can't even think of basic strategy about his teleport abilities I mean he thinks about it eventually but just how long it takes is quite frustrating any common sense person would come to the conclusion within 5 minutes where it takes him like 2 months...

another reason I really dislike the story is the reward system besides levels he really doesn't get much in terms of rewards And it feels like a cheat.... I mean in one book he's literally fighting maybe 200 enemies at most which he says is a lot of enemies and it would be difficult for him to take on The next minute in the magic Tower he takes on 5,000 for what amounts to no reward it's just feels way too much of a leap for what amounts to too little of a reward especially because all of the other challenges in the tower actually seem like reasonable challenges any normal person can complete besides the last one...

then when we finally get rewards that he says are extremely valuable And nobody else has he has to use them practically two chapters later like what's the point of that... The narration is definitely all right but I'll be honest if you're reading this review and if you're curious about buying this book my answer is don't unless it's free on audible then dont..... it's frustrating that the story is only about 6 hours long and a large chunk of that time is slice of life stuff or stat sheet talk or simply going over strategies in his head it doesn't feel like much gets done....

Re edit because of how frustrating The ending of this book is I'm not going to spoil anything just in case but it's so frustrating how the main character is boo hoo boo-hoo I'm never going to be strong I'm never going to be strong when the entire time he's literally an inspiration for moral character in the face of death then at the very end when he finally faces somebody who's actually stronger than him by a lot he breaks down into a wet sob..... I hate when writers do this it genuinely discredits their character this story gets a zero out of 10 simply because of the ending Don't waste your money please.....
