Another fine addition. I can very much relate to wanting to spoil her in the cutest clothing. I’m ready for the next book.

I really love this series and I'm OK with the slice of life pace since the series usually manages to add in other interesting elements to spice things up, but this one was pretty dull and even awkward at times. This episode is basically just the two getting settled in to a new town for the winter, meeting a few more people and, unfortunately, more rice (raaaiiissss) cooking. There is some background weirdness going on but we only really start to witness it at the very end of the book. Also, I think Ivy may have been hit in the head or something because she was acting intermittently stupid throughout the book. Sometimes the simplest concepts seemed to baffle her, and she would often ask questions about something she was literally told the answer to five minutes earlier.

On the plus side, Ivy's relationship with her surrogate father is really sweet and her monster pals are cute as always. I only wish I didn't feel like I wasted several hours listening to someone's cooking and shopping "adventures."

Too much slice of life. I feel like there is too much "fluff". I've come this far but it's as far as I want to go.

I like the unique creatures in the story and Ivy herself.

The slow development is wonderful I want the path to go on and on. The performance was just as warm as the tale and added to the relaxation.
