This could have easily been the book version of every silly, smarmy Hallmark Christmas movie, but it wasn't, and I was both surprised and delighted. I also expected more emphasis on romance (not typically my thing, though I don't mind some), and while the romantic subplot was there, it didn't overwhelm the plot - an inspiring story about two good friends, a hilarious holiday game, and how the game helped Haley to grow as a person. It was fun and sweet, and it's made me consider trying a few Christmas dares of my own!

This is a original, cozy Christmas book. About friendship and traditions. The narration was superb helping me submerge into the story.
