When Ellie Fitzgerald looks at herself in a mirror in Hargrove House, the estate her grandmother has left her, she’s looking at a version of herself from England’s regency period. They also find a more sinister figure recurring through the ages: Lord Dabney, a good-enough-looking man (though, he’s no Matthew), who hounds the two lovers into early graves, time and time again.

When Lord James Dabney shows up at Hargrove House, determined to date Ellie, it feels like history could be repeating itself. Ellie refuses to let herself become the victim of an old curse, though. This time, she and Matthew mean to write the ending to their own story...if they can.

Another fantastic read from fantastic author. Loved and highly recommend this audiobook. Narrator did a fantastic job also.

I really enjoyed this one. The first time I saw the title I was intrigued and I'm glad I downloaded and listened to it. This is about a curse that's been active for 200 years. There are three people that are caught up in it and two of them keep dying over and over again. It's a split between the 1800s when the curse originated and current day. So too absorb it my mind had to work. I liked the voice of the author and how she was able to distinguish different characters. There was correct enunciation and it flowed well.

Well this was something new for me from Ms Hartley and I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Whilst it was short nothing was left out and all when you meet your soulmate you just know it. The story does have a HEA.
