Christi Caldwell is one of my favorite writers. She brings dry humor, witty discourse smoldering sensuality and the perfect delivery from Tim Campbell. The Spitfire was the heroine who was the catalyst for the hero’s transition . Read about it—no spoilers here.

Good story, good narrator
Tim Campbell has a pleasant baritone, sometimes his female voices sound a bit silly but the expression is good and he is a very good reader. It didn’t sound “read aloud” it sounded like storytelling.

I appreciated the older h/h with mature thinking. Both characters are on the road to working through past trauma and moving forward. Although they have either ignorance or well earned prejudice about each other’s societal class their situation throws them together and they learn to respect each other.
The secondary characters are pretty flat but the story is still engrossing.

The narrator is exquisite. He leaves you breathless waiting for the next word to see where the story will go next. Of one to 10 he is a 10 plus.

Love this entire series. It's one I may listen to again! As always, Christi's stories + Tim's storytelling = Awesomeness!

As a super fan of Christi’s, I was really looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint! Great story line and I just loved Claire! Looking forward to the next Christi Caldwell novel!
