Jacques' campaign against his own people leads to an unexpected turn of events. Chilling episodes show how close Andre, his wife, and Monsieur DeMoriet, the cabaret's proprietor, come to being caught as they carry out their secret underground operations against the Nazis.There is intrigue and suspense as the occupied French find ways to outwit their oppressors. At the same time, true friendships are forged. Monsieur DeMoriet proves himself to be a friend and father to Andre and puts himself in grave danger in order to save those whom he loves. In the process, Andre discovers the secret truth about his own father.The story shows how enduring love and close friendships can conquer all obstacles placed in their paths.
