Slightly annoying narrator made Ruth sound only a little older than Shirley Temple in her heyday but the story was good and worth listening to.

I am so grateful there are stories such as this one.
The sweetness of Lil was so refreshing and hers and John’s quest to find God gave inspiration for us to do the same I. This very difficult time where the World is upside down.
I think if we become angry over Christian themed books, we might want to look at our own hearts to see who is controlling it!

This was without a doubt one of Ms Hill’s
best novels. I could hardly wait for the end and then when it ended I was disappointed and wanted it to continue.

Enjoyed Listening to the story. I was always a fan of the narration, but for most of the story the voice she picked wasn’t irritating.
Sweet story although a little predictable.

The first few chapters I listened to at 1.5 speed because it was read so slow I was about to fall asleep. When the story advanced I eventually was able to return it to 1.0 speed and stick with it. It’s a sweet love story.

GL Hill was my grandmother’s favorite author. It was great fun finding a selection by her in audible!

This is one of the earliest Christian romances that started a whole genre. The romance is strong but following the dictates of society at the time, and both characters experience a Christian conversion.
