I really had high hopes for this book because I absolutely loved The Butterfly Garden! I was pretty disappointed to see how short it fell to the first book. Most of it was repetitive and boring. I think if the POV had been from the killer instead it would have made the whole book so much better. Will Damron did a fantastic job! His voice for the killer gave me chills! Siiri's narration on the other hand sounded robotic and stunted. There were some parts of the book that were heartbreaking, but she read them completely emotionless. I couldn't get into her sections. That made it hard to rate the performance. I would easily give Will Damron 5 stars, but I would give Siiri 1 star.

I had to read this one as part of the collector trilogy. I found the butterfly garden totally captivating. While roses of may is good, it doesn't measure up to the butterfly garden. Definitely recommend it's creepiness though.

Good but not butterflies

I thought this book was a continuation of the Butterfly garden but it wasn’t. It was interesting but not riveting like the butterfly book.

I really liked the butterfly garden, so I was glad to get an update on where the girls were. I did feel as though the books were a little disconnected (it could just be because they were out of the garden and a different narrator). I just didn't care for the characters in this book and it was pretty obvious who the killer was. I don't regret reading this book, but I probably won't reread it like I did with the butterfly garden.

I really enjoyed the first book, The Butterfly Garden. This one, not so much. I only finished it because I was invested so much in the characters.

Always hesitant to pick up the sequel to a book that had captured me so thoroughly.
I can hardly wait for the next book by Hutchinson!

So far this series has been fantastic. This second book brought back characters from the first book but it was a very different story. So many writers give you the same story over and over and only change the name of the characters. I'll keep her in my favorites for now.

Not bad but the ending…just fades out mid sentence. After reading the first book in the series, the Butterfly Garden I was expecting the same level of captivation and breathtaking writing. This falls short of my expectations. Not inclined to read book three.
