 Apprentice blacksmith, Flint Winger, is surprised to learn he has a grandfather. Before Flint was born, Gawain Balstead left on a quest for a fabled magical double-bladed sword that was once owned by his family, the long-deceased Dragon-fire Kings.
Flint has barely met his grandfather when a group of mysterious riders come out of the Great Desert. The brightly feathered bird-men come armed and ready for a fight. A battle ensues that leaves Gawain mortally wounded. From his deathbed, Gawain begs Flint to lead a second quest. He gives Flint a ring. Unknown to Flint, the ring has the power to take control of him and he soon finds himself doing these he would never have dreamed of.
With his good friend, Peter, the two go in search for the lost sword. The sword is now in the possession of the General who sent the bird-men to kill Gawain. Chaang leads an army of thousands of fierce bird-men warriors, the Parku-ma. With only one option left to them the boys join Chaang’s army.
On the quest the boys pick up a few friends to help them. There is Mandy, the one time Temple Virgin who acts as Flints link to the good Spirits. Loretta who has secret powers. Flint learns he shares these strange powers. Together they attempt to learn how to control them.
Flint discovers the ring and the sword both have magic. When combined they have the power to transform him. If Flint is to remain true to himself he will need to find a way to control the power of the ring and the sword and a way to defeat the mighty Chaang. Acción y Aventura Fantasía Mágico
