Acerca de esta escucha

If you’ve ever thought of social media as a silly (or slimy!) marketing method to convince people to buy your program or service–let’s explore a quick, insightful reframe together. If you are completely turned off by businesses trying to sell you on Facebook, know that it’s most likely because they aren’t social media “aware".

How does one become aware?

Education.

Learning how to turn followers into clients using Facebook or other social media platforms isn’t difficult. However, many companies don’t realize they’re repelling potential clients with their message.

Back in the day, I spoke with a lot of people who thought social media was a fad blowing through. I never believed that. I knew it was changing our world!

Picture this: A Harvard graduate told me I was “silly” to think that social media had a real place in marketing. An entrepreneur selling popular products in Jackson Hole said, “Really Rose? My business needs to be on Facebook? That just seems silly.”

Call social media what you like.

But I’m sure you know by now it’s anything but silly.

I’ve watched the platforms morph and change over the years. I’ve watched businesses go through transformations with their social media marketing. I continued to teach the most honest, insightful, and successful techniques for social media back then, and I’m not stopping now!

These are statements I hear all the time from small business owners:

  • Social media is too hard.
  • I can’t keep up.
  • I don’t have time.
  • I’m trying, but it doesn’t work.
  • This is fluff! Let’s just get down to business already!

I get it. But, let’s remember, people will get down to business when they’re good and ready. They don’t need you to tell them it’s time to do business. In this day and age, if you push your sales too hard, over share, or the person on the receiving end feels manipulated—they will simply delete you from their social media feeds.

Game over!

You rarely get a second chance there. Do you know what authenticity looks like?

Authentic means being true. True to yourself and being true to others. Social media is not about you. It’s about the people you serve. This is one of the reasons why I wrote this book. To give insight on the one post your ideal clients will always want to see.

Yes, social media changes at light speed, but there’s one thing that doesn’t change. You.
