Author presents his observations and recommendations in an easily understood and followed manner with supporting data. The of supporting data span periods ending shortly before book publication but it is clear from the data that the concepts being presented continue through to current times. This book complements Rick Ferri's book All About Asset Allocation, which I highly recommend for someone learning about personal investing.

Thoroughly covers the benefits of using a passive index fund portfolio

there is no reason this is such a long audiobook as it is a very long winded and repetitive book about passive investment in index fund. the recommendation is good for vast majority of investors, but much of the book was just repetitive with similar examples to support the idea. an hour of this audiobook is more than adequate to cover the topic.
