I loved the story line and narrator s were good. only thing that made it hard to listen at times was the two narrators speaking the others parts. it was hard to follow at first. definitely like audio books better where each role is read by the intended narrator. wes part should not be voiced in by the female lead. just my opinion.

The sweetest story, told by the sexiest voices! The exciting story pulled me in and turned into something unexpected. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved Wes and Dakota. Their bond, their chemistry, their relationship (the past and present)…this book definitely wormed its way into my heart.

When Dakota is in town to make a deal for some land, she comes face to face with her one night stand from years before…and surprise…his family owns the land she’s there to purchase. Oh the tension!!!

Wes is suffering from PTSD from his military career. Dakota is just trying to figure out how to be the person she wants to be. If any two people were destined to find their way back to each other, it’s them.

I was so giddy waiting for that oh snap moment.

I loved this story of Wes and Dakota. They had a meet cute five years ago and couldn’t get each other out of their minds. Present day Dakota is coming to town to purchase land. She meets Wes again! There is so much tension, angst, and passion. The narration is done by Hannah Chiclana and Edward Black. Perfect voices for Dakota and Wes. It was an easy listen and highly entertaining. I loved getting to know the Hayden family and can’t wait to listen to more in this series.

The charming story line

I absolutely love a good small town romance and this one was so good! The depth of these characters and the fate that brings them together was really special. Wes is fighting his own demons and suffering through PTSD from his time in the military, which is wildly relatable and I could feel the emotional toll that was taking on him and on Dakota, but I loved the gentle support that she offered him to help him overcome the trauma that he had endured.

One of my favorite parts of this book beyond the healing that happens though is the love that the Hayden's have for each other. I loved how close they are and how much they love and supported each other. Especially when they bring Dakota into their family. She definitely showed them how perfectly she fit.

The audiobook narration was also excellent and I loved the realism that it brought to this story.

This was a pretty darn good book. It caught me right away, and while the lead male had a personal dilemma it wasn’t the main story so it didn’t take over the book. I liked the characters but the author seemed careful about not developing the secondary characters. Probably didn’t want to give their history away before their book. It had a great ending and that’s what really counts.

This book absolutely surprised me. It’s the category of novel I typically go to as a “fluff” read when I’m in between books. This one was much more and I’m immediately starting the next one in the series. The narrators are the perfect voices for the characters. They do a phenomenal job at adjusting their voices just enough to distinguish easily between characters, I wasn’t confused once which is so important to me. A suspenseful unexpected plot addition kept me listening on the edge of my seat and it was beyond easy to fall in love with Dakota and the Hayden’s.
