The Westing Game meets The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963 in a stirring mystery of past and present, as two kids search for a place in their families, city, and country.

So with the help of Brandon Jones, the quiet boy across the street, she begins to decipher the clues in the letter. The challenge will lead them deep into Lambert's history, full of ugly deeds, forgotten heroes, and one great love; and deeper into their own families, with their own unspoken secrets. Can they find the fortune and fulfill the letter's promise before the summer ends?

This was a good book, but I’m not sure about some of the content. I’m not sure if I’d have my child read it...could be confusing at times.

The Parkers Inheritance was a terrific book a must read it kept me intrigue every minute that I listen to the book and I also love the question and answer segment at the end of the book. I fully enjoyed this book. 5 stars🥰

This book exceeded my expectations. I was expecting a good mystery, but this also had elements of historical fiction. Johnson addressed the issues of inclusion and acceptance from a variety of perspectives that make this more than just a good story. There is much to learn from in The Parker Inheritance— not only for children, but for adults as well.
