This book is a true gem 💎 !! A very creatively different type of dystopian story in which the USA as we know it, no longer exists, though societal ails/evils of classism, wealth/poverty, corruption and abuse of power still persist. This book is both character and plot driven, with characters and dialogue and story all brought to life by the wonderful performance of Jen Jayden!! She was simply brilliant!
You will not be disappointed!!

It started off a tad bit slow but was worth the wait. My heart strings were in such a clutch for a good portion of the book. I love the unexpectedness about it. You really grow a fondness of the characters and the ending is a nice supise.

I didn't expect that much from this book. It ended up being a very pleasant surprise. The author created beautifully flawed but lovable characters. This is the first book in a while for me where I was captivated throughout the entire listen. I'm currently listening to it for the second time and I'm enjoying it just as much as the first time.

Usually books can be cheesy or predictable but this book was a surprise it was a nice slow burn and even better character building. Also the jokes that were in the book did have me laughing most of the time other books that have characters say jokes aren’t really funny but I liked the humor of the characters and the jokes matched up perfectly with the characters. Also love the narrator

This was such a goooood book!! Will definitely circle back in a couple of months because yes!
Well developed characters that held a good level of relatability while obvs doing stuff not so relatable...
The story/plot itself is immersive and engaging, the love story and emotional tension is definitely there burning slow, however its unironically bittersweet how it unfolds; how the storm seems to come before the calm...

1000% recommend.

I will say the same thing that nearly all the other reviews say...This book is truly excellent. If you are a fan of Sapphic books that have princesses, tyrants, warriors, and a dystopian-like world, you will give this book five stars, as I did.

I was addicted to this audio. I spent the day listening. I needed a queer storyline like this. Very Hunger Games. I hope TJ continues to write more!!

Went into the book not really expecting much. Was pleasantly surprised to find a well written story with lovable characters. This book had me grinning quite often. Will definitely be listening to it again in the future.
