One of the most memorable pieces of advice one could receive when trying to lose weight is to simply eat more fats. You and I can both imagine the eyebrows raised at receiving advice that appears to contradict the goal of trying to burn fat. Rightfully so, this approach to burning fat has been grasping the attention of many worldwide, and it has come in the form of the keto diet.
While the notion sounds crazy, it is so crazy that it actually works, and my keto journey has been so beneficial that I had to share the amazing benefits of the diet with you!
For starters, the keto diet isn’t only targeted at those who are trying to lose weight; it actually started off as a dietary treatment for those with chronic medical conditions. The power of food and dietary choices is truly remarkable. After years of successful traction, the keto diet started catching on with the general public, highlighting that our general diet was the leading cause of a lot of chronic health-related issues, such as diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers.
The keto diet highlights how efficiently we could be living by simply making minor conscious adjustments to our diet. This approach came in the form of reducing our carbohydrate intake (foods such as pastas, potatoes, and other foods that struggle to digest) and increasing our intake of foods that burn faster (such as healthy fats). Healthy fats also offer many more nutritional benefits that promote better organ function, anti-inflammation, antioxidants, better immunity, and an improvement in our mental health and concentration levels.
With all of these benefits, I was sure to explore the diet and see the results for myself. The transformation in such a short period of time has been mind-blowing. I didn’t think that such positive change could happen so suddenly and leave me feeling healthier, happier, and fueled with sustainable sources of energy.
