A delightful new story set in a near Earth like world. The plot follows the wielders of magic Godswords as they seek to use their powers to dominate their rivals. The characters speak with real voices, not just plot driven dialogue, and that keeps the story fresh and interesting. An excellent beginning to what could be a successful series.

This novel evoked for me that classic 80's low fantasy feels With some more modern flavors. At the end I was definitely left wanting to know the next part of the story which is A great place to be at the end of the 1st novel in any fantasy series
