Fifteen-year-old Morgan has a secret: She can't wait to escape the perfect little island where she lives. I’m 44 years old and was closeted when I was in high school, terrified someone would find out. I related to the main character’s experience. I recommended this book to my friend whose daughter is 11 and questioning her sexuality. It’s clean, adventurous, fantastic, and meaningful.

Relatable and appropriate for tweens.

Even though I heard it was a parodic novel, they managed to tell it like a normal book. Love it

A wonderful take on coming out of the closet, and being worried about others opinion. It’s like if you mixed realistic fiction and fantasy. With an unrealistic girl- *SPOILER* who is a seal?! But a realistic couple in the sense of Morgan wanting to keep it a secret that they were in love. It’s a very sweet and cute. I’m so glad that I got it, I love the characters. The narration is beautiful and all the voice actors are amazing. LGBTQ+ perfection.
