The year is 1940.

In the picturesque English village of Briarwych, Father David Perkins tends to his work at the local church. The shadow of war has fallen across England, and the local airbase provides a constant reminder of the horrors that have been unleashed.

For Father Perkins, the struggle to provide guidance for his parishioners is an everyday battle. And then Judith Prendergast starts hearing voices in the church.

A faithful and devoted woman, struggling to raise her daughter, Elizabeth, Judith takes a dim view of the happenings in Briarwych. Soon, however, she's offered a terrible deal, the consequences of which she doesn't fully understand. And as she tries to set right her awful mistake, Judith sets in progress a chain of terrible events that will haunt the village of Briarwych for generations.

I enjoyed this book well enough to listen to every word, Try it, not bad.

English ghost story

I enjoyed the twist this book provided. Darker than the other 2, I could see this as a movie. Narration was great as usual.
The recap repetitive nature of the end got a bit boring, but it was cool to listen from a different perspective.

Dark & Creepy

Storyline was excellently written, performance of the protagonist is superb. In this entire trilogy, the only person I could can actually feel is the ongoing thoughts and emotions of the Judith.
It requires a full reading/listening to all three books in this series to appreciate the excellent storyline as they all interweave with one another.

I absolutely love this trilogy as it is neatly wrapped up in this final book in the series.

EXCLLEN! I l liked the merging of one book with another. This installment is from the poor soul that had a demon inside of her, it ends well, and kinds sorry that the trilogy is over. But spooky and genuinely at times, heartbreaking. RECOMMENDED STRONG

I'm fully satisfied with this entire series. From the storyline, and the narration. Amy Cross did not leave a stone unturned. Her writing and storytelling is outstanding. Helen Vine did an amazing job bringing the characters to life. I thought I would have an issue with her narration of the male character, but no, she didn't miss a beat. Each voice actor in this series were superb. If your looking to listen to a real spooky, and excellent ghost story, I highly recommend you start with this series. You will totally become enthralled, just like I did!🙂 Ps. ThxU A.C. for writing such a wonderful series.🙂
