I learned a great deal about the influential Christian Martyrs of our time. The author delves into the common characteristics that all had - unwavering commitment, courage and faith. I enjoyed the book immensely and I found the information helped me understand how the apostles helped shape the early church. You can tell how passionate the author is about the subject and he makes you understand more clearly.

This audiobook is amazing. Like many Christians, I tend to be silent about my beliefs and worship time. My faith is deep inside me, and in the past, I have been embarrassed or mocked when expressing my faith and beliefs. These types of interactions always left me shaken, as there is often such vitriol and hate directed at me that I often do not speak up about how my faith has been instrumental in my life.

This book opened my eyes to what real Christian faith is in practice. The men you will hear about were not rich, not what could be considered successful, and were facing death just for professing their faith to others.

Yet, they did. They had seen with their own eyes the powerful miracles Jesus performed while on earth. They saw him turn water into wine. They walked with him as he proselytized to the common people. They saw his immense and unwavering faith. They believed him when he spoke. Nothing could shake their faith after meeting him and becoming his followers. Many professed doubts, but Jesus simply asked them to listen with their hearts and learn with their eyes.

This audiobook will be my guide to better serving my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is worth every penny.

Embridled by a passion to present all of the evidence to bring people to, or closer to, Christ, Todd lays out all of the stark testimony written in the Bible. This audiobook is beautifully and clearly retold; the history shared centered on the life of Jesus and his despise in both inspiring and sad. The stories touch your heart and as we listen we can clearly see the power for struggles that people go through across society and belief systems. Is is clear that Jesus did not want the miracles he perform to be what drove people to God, it seems to have happen indirectly. This was a moving recount of Christianity at its birth. This make for a good read or a good listen in Christin youth groups or bile study groups.
