This was so beautifully written and even though it spanded several years and 4 generations you never lost track and the fairy tales wove it all together. I couldn't put it down.

Love everything about this book. It’s been with me a long time through a lot of life. I always find something new when I read it.

One of my favorites

Such an intricate tale that spanned decades and centuries. Stories within Stories. Kate never fails. I will have to get the hard copy. Eliza was such a giving beautiful character. All her descendants as the main characters (Nell & Cassandra) are very interesting complex characters. I will say Rose was not worthy of the love and care Eliza wasted on her. Such a great storyline in wonderful Cornwall with a secret garden. Enjoyed it all!

The story telling, the narrator, fabulous! I didn’t want the book to end. I kept the speed at normal to enjoy longer. It’s my first read by this author. I will be purchasing more!

Best Audio Book

I enjoyed this book and it kept me guessing. At times I felt like I needed to plot out all of the names and relationships, but over time got used to the time swaps and all the characters. Worth a read!
