This series is hilarious! I have laughed out loud several times throughout, including this one. There is so much to love! That said, the whole train line element is not my thing. I’ve taken the NYC subway numerous times and know how convoluted it is. Hearing about the ridiculously complex network the dungeon had sort of bored me. Every time the lines were discussed I tuned out and waited for a decision to be made or an event to occur.
Despite my dislike of the rail system, there were some pretty cool ways to farm experience with it. Gory ones too! Some characters jumped levels at a time due to these scenarios!
There is more intrigue in this story, with some vicious betrayals and new alliances. Some old faces reappear, adding new directions to the plot.
Jeff Hays is again awesome. He is such an amazing narrator.

Still Fun, but I Don’t Like the Train Line

Annoying Parts
- Cat always typing in caps and reader shouting every time.. was funny for a bit but by book 3 its so annoying I almost didnt buy book 4, even though the story is fun

General review:
- Interesting take on for an litrpg story. Fun to listen to and not just all killing babies like someone mentioned. General story line good and a fun listen. Still a dungeon crawl story but with a twist.

Really liking dungeon crawler Carl. Princess Donut is hilarious and just the best. The screaming sentient goat crawler is hilarious and I hope there is more. This book or season (as it makes it feel) is basically a run for it and banding together to say fuck the assholes who did this to us! We’re going to make it! Plus doing it Carl style!

The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook hit all the marks you’ve been wanting for in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Humor. Action. Crazy bad guys. Messed up scenarios. Donut is well, Donut. New characters are introduced that will have you laughing out loud. Great stuff again. DRmz 6-19-24

The train stuff can get a little confusing but it is a perfect continuation of Carl and Donuts adventure. Highly recommended.

I was just getting tired of all the trains but it was ending. Now let’s go kill gnomes! The intrigue for Team Flamingo is high.
