The Desire of Ages lays out the life of Christ so intimately that the listener will feel as if he or she were walking the paths of Galilee with the master relaying a parable, or sitting on the Mount of Olives watching the agony of our Lord. At its heart, the book is devotional saying to the listener that Jesus Christ fulfills the deepest longings of the human soul. "Without distinction of age, or rank, or nationality, or religious privilege, all are invited to come unto Him and live."

This book will introduce you to your new best friend, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, or it will help you to know Him better! It will help you to understand His Word more deeply. It will give you a personal understanding of what Jesus endured, for us to obtain the opportunity to spend eternity with Him!

Using liberally the familiar Scripture, the author is able to show how Jesus met the people where they lived and healed both body and soul. A real Jesus, beset by sorrows and trials, yet never overcome or led to sin. One of my favorite books.

This book places Jesus in a new perspective.

So much to learn and so many opportunities to be carried away into another world where internal changes can take place.
Anything on this subject is worth experiencing and there are many who have written but I found this to be the fullest mental movie I've ever seen. The narration could be improved by holding the same level of sound from the beginning of a sentence to the end. Quite often though, the first word was the loudest and then the voice fades. Not so good to try and fall asleep to and I love listening to this subject while I'm entering dreamsville too. Wow, what a writer !

This is a great commentary on the life of Christ in story format. Great insights. I also really enjoy the narrators voice. Definitely will get another book that she narrates.

Yes. This book will give you a good insight of who Jesus is, and His work while He was on earth, and the work He is doing for us right now.

Jesus dying for us.

She brings out the book in a more forceful manner. She let the characters jump out at us.

This book made me become emotional at time, but brought me closer to Christ.

This is a great book if you want to learn about the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
