When Athena wakes up in the morning, she has no idea that this will be the last day of her regular life. Everything had been going right for once in her life, but then she had been chosen in the lottery.

The prize from winning the lottery is permanent exile from the planet Earth, a prize that it necessary for the survival of the humanity. Athena needs to cope with the fact that it is her civic duty to present herself for exile so that the planet's limited resources can be spread further.

What makes matters worse for her is that she has also discovered something about herself - she's pregnant. Can she save herself from being sent off? Or will she have to face the unknown?

My interest was captured from the start.

The storyline is intriguing to say the least. By the end of book one you are definitely going to be looking for book 2. I am excited for the series to see where Athena's character takes her on her forced journey. The narration is great! Crisp sound, clear voice, and I feel hits the emotion of Athena's character to make you feel that you are in the story. I recommend this read!
